Hiring Paid Creative Interns in NYC – Work at Home

About the positions

I’m looking for multiple creative and marketing types in New York City to assist with an expanding consulting company, Soha Social. You’ll work for clients including universities, Fortune 1000 companies, musicians, nonprofits, and tech-startups. The hours will vary as will the projects, depending on the month, but you can expect to work on all or some of the following, depending on your skills and interests:

• WordPress website design: modifying themes, installing plugins, updating content and adding new features and pages
• Designing album cover art and t-shirts for musical artists
• Designing annual reports, brochures and posters
• Designing business cards, stationary, and other brand-identity documents
• Building personalized Facebook tabs, Twitter backgrounds and other social media customizations
• Designing interactive interfaces of mobile applications and web-based applications
• Building social advertising campaigns using Facebook, Linkedin, Google Adwords and evaluating performance

I pay $10/hr, and you will be asked to submit a detailed invoice of your hours on a weekly, semi-monthly or monthly basis depending on your preference.

I’m looking for two interns this summer, starting July 15, and two interns for the fall, starting September 15. The internships will be for 3 months from the start date with the option to extend the contract with mutual interest.

You should be located in the NYC area; I’m not looking for interns outside of the NYC area at this time.

You can work whenever the mood suits you, but I have zero-tolerance for flakiness! This is a deadline-driven job and can be high-stress. Emails and calls need to be answered promptly, so if that’s not for you, please don’t apply.

You should be able to dedicate a least 10 hours a week, but you can work up to 30 per week if you’re interested in more hours.

Additional Qualifications

• You can set-up and modify WordPress websites with ease, and teach yourself new tricks when you need to
• You have a thorough knowledge of HTML and CSS (Knowing php, javascript, ajax and/or flash would be a plus)
• You own your own computer and software to complete projects from your home (Abobe CS3 or later)
• You have a love and interest in social media marketing
• You’re willing to be on call 24/7 (that’s the downside of being “virtual”), meet with me once a week in person in Manhattan (occasional Skype/phone calls may be necessary in place of in person meetings or in addition to) to check in and prioritize
